Jim Weaver is our Senior Commercial Lending Officer and City President at our Fernandina Beach branch at 1500 Sadler Road. Jim has worked in the financial industry since 1995 when he started at Florida National Bank / First Union Bank in Fernandina. He has worked in virtually every area of branch banking spending time as a Past Due Collection Manager, Retail Loan Officer, Branch Manager (at 2 locations in Nassau County) and Commercial Lender. In 2002 he moved over to First Coast Community Bank (Synovus Bank) in the same market working as the Senior VP of Commercial and SBA Lending. In 2016 he joined First Federal and hasn’t looked back.
His specialty for more than a decade has been SBA and Commercial Lending. In 2006 he was named a Top 20 Commercial Lender in Northeast Florida and helped make First Coast Community Bank a Top 10 SBA Loan Producer for 10 consecutive years.
Jim works diligently outside the office, too. He is currently the Chair of the Fernandina Beach High School Business Partners and the Sargent of Arms with the Amelia Island Sunrise Rotary Club. In the past he’s served on the board, and been Chair of, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nassau County Florida and served on the board of the Nassau County YMCA.
Jim also loves spending time with his wife Lisa and two kids, both in college. He loves cheering on the Jags and the Florida Gators, and entertaining his Family and Friends at “Weave’s Bar & Grill” aka his back patio.
